Join LWVNC for “Protect Our Vote North Carolina” Virtual Town Hall

April 24, 2020

Voters should not have to choose between their health and their vote.

On April 27, the League of Women Voters of North Carolina is partnering with the North Carolina Voters for Clean Election Coalition and the Declaration for American Democracy Coalition to host Protect Our Vote North Carolina: Defending Democracy During COVID 19.

Join this virtual town hall to hear from national and state leaders on how everyday people can help win funding and reforms to protect our democracy. RSVP to join us.

The town hall will feature voting rights champions, and special guests:

  • U.S. Rep. David Price
  • U.S. Rep. G. K. Butterfield
  • U.S. Rep. Alma Adams
  • N.C. State Sen. Jay Chaudhuri
  • And Melissa Price Kromm of North Carolina Voters for Clean Elections, Tomas Lopez of Democracy North Carolina, Marcus Bass of N.C. Black Alliance, and Bob Phillips of Common Cause N.C.

As businesses remain closed and American’s everywhere are urged to stay home, we cannot take a “business-as-usual” approach to voting.

We must take action to ensure that voters can safely, securely, and efficiently exercise their right to vote while still protecting their health.

RSVP to attend the Protect Our Vote: Defending Democracy During COVID 19 North Carolina Town Hall on  April 27 at 7:00 PM to learn what action you can take to protect our vote.
