Photo ID Not Required for March 3 primary
January 13, 2020
An important reminder that a photo ID will not be required to vote either during the early voting period or on Primary Election Day (March 3). In a December 31 order, a federal district court blocked North Carolina’s voter photo ID requirement from taking effect. The injunction will remain in place until further order of the court.
Additionally, a copy of a photo ID is not required to request an absentee ballot for the primary.
